40 Winks - London

Today I would like to share one of my top tips for London with you. London is one of my favorite destinations ever. It's a city that has so much to offer, so everytime I go there it feels like the first time. I always try to stay at a different hotel, just because there are some many great ones to choose from.

Last year my husband and I discovered this little gem called 40 Winks. It's a B&B hosted by renowned interior designer David Carter. He welcomes you in his fabulous 4 storey townhouse, situated in fashionable and trendy East London.

The entire house is decorated with an eye style, elegance and glamour. It's one of the most charming places I've ever stayed.

There are only 2 room at 40 Winks: 1 single and 1 double. Prices start at £95.

If you want to go out for a nice dinner and drinks closeby, I can highly recommend Les Trois Garçons for dinner and Lounge Lover for pre- or post-dinner cocktails.

Hotel du Cap Eden Roc

One our favorite travel destinations is the French Riviera. The French chique, the goreous weather, the picturesque villages, ... it's a small piece of paradise in the south of France.

The region is packed with gorgeous hotels which you'll definitely see come up in some of my upcoming posts. The one I'm going to talk to you about today is Hotel du Cap Eden Roc. It's one of the most exclusive hotels of the region and a hotspot during the Cannes Film Festival. You can see all of the A-list celebs lounging around the pool of the Hotel du Cap in Antibes.

The 5* hotel offers 121 rooms starting at 470 euro per night.

I love Mandarin Oriental

Ever thought about what you would do if you won the lotery? I have :-) Apart from going on the greatest shopping spree ever and buying a gorgeous Porsche Panamera, I'd leave on trip around the world. Not just any trip off course, I would stay exclusively at Mandarin Orientals. They are just the quintessence of class and style, in my opion.

I do like all the new and trendy boutique hotels, but for me Mandarin Oriental is Tiffany & Co equivalent of hotels. They are timeless and each hotel just oozes luxury, I love it.

I've added some pictures of my favorite Mandarin Orientals. Please excuse me now so I can start daydreaming about my trip. :-)

Gramercy Park Hotel NYC

Next year my husband and I will be doing our honeymoon over, just because we liked it so much. We're starting off with a week in New York, followed by partystop in Las Vegas and last but not least LA, Carmel and San Francisco.

Because I just love planning trips I'm already searching for the best places to stay in each city. When it comes to New York, there's no decision to be made: The Gramercy Park Hotel it will be. We both love the design they've used. It's so different from everything else. The rich colors, the lush fabrics and its stunning rooftop gardens. I can't wait to pack my bags for this one.

You can choose from 181 rooms ranging from Superior to Park Suites. Prices start at $345 (or €240). A bargain if you ask me.

Cap Rocat

I recently discovered this unique boutique hotel in Mallorca, Spain. Cap Rocat is a 19th century military fortress which was transformed into an exclusive 21 suite and 2 double room hotel. Situated in the most secluded area of the bay, it stunningly blends into the landscape.
Every suite has an outstanding view of the bay of Palma, each with a private patio and terrace. Sounds like the best place to wake up ever.

If you're into sports Cap Rocat offers you plenty of options like tennis, yoga, cycling, water sports, ...

You can dine in one of the 2 restaurants: The Fortress Restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine and The Sea Club, which offers dishes cooked in a traditional Mallorcan firewood oven and grill.

Cap Rocat only welcome adults, so it's the ideal place for an intimate get-away.

Prices start at 486 euro per night.
